Session: Scholarly-Practioners (Society for Social Work and Research 31st Annual Conference)

I attended my first SSWR conference in 2026, and while there I noticed I had the desire to connect with other DSW students, but it was hard to find them. Through this observation, it inspired me to start this SIG, to be able to connect as scholarly-practitioners for the aims listed above. I believe that being a scholarly-is a unique identity, and that the impact that DSW scholarship brings to the profession is invaluable, and it would be beneficial for there to be a designated space to be in community with one another.
