This is a new SIG comprised of researchers seeking to formally establish a restorative and transformative justice (RJ/TJ) research working group at SSWR. In 2026, we convened an initial gathering to gauge interest. Despite the early morning timeslot, we had a handful of attendees leading to meaningful engagement and a clear desire for continued connection. Recognizing the growing momentum of RJ/TJ scholarship, particularly on the West Coast, we aim to reconvene in 2027 to further build this network, strengthen collaboration, and continue assessing interest in this SIG within SSWR.
