Session Description:
Addressing the future of water quality necessitates an integrated understanding of the physical, biological, and chemical processes that govern our aquatic systems. In an era of accelerating anthropogenic pressures and climatic instability, the research community is rapidly developing new hypotheses and predictive technologies to inform sustainable management. This session showcases cutting-edge research that explores how water quality, and the processes controlling it, fluctuate across space and time. We seek abstracts that address multi-scale challenges and leverage diverse methodologies, ranging from site-specific field studies to large-scale computational assessments. We encourage submissions that highlight how integrated modeling and data-driven approaches can bridge the gap between fundamental science and the governance strategies needed to protect water resources.
