Beyond Results: Connecting Polar Science to Society
Session ID#: 280178
Session Description:
This session invites researchers, artists, educators, Indigenous community members, and science communicators to explore how art–science and STEAM‑based collaborations can extend the reach and resonance of polar research. We focus on approaches using scientific fieldwork, data collection, and long‑term observation that engage broader audiences with the processes and implications of polar science. We welcome examples from researchers partnering with artists or educators; scientists seeking to expand societal impact; and teams working at the intersection of science, creativity, and community engagement.
Together, this session highlights how cross-disciplinary collaboration can strengthen relationships between polar researchers and society, expand participation, and create pathways to inform and inspire.
