Global Views on the Young Solar Wind and Explosive Structures with Polarized Imaging

Session Description:
With the recent launch of NASA's Polarimeter to Unify the Corona and Heliosphere (PUNCH), we image the inner heliosphere as never before: continuously from near the Sun out to the Earth's orbit, and from pole to pole in both polarized and total brightness. This global view reveals the link between solar wind and explosive structures and how they evolve together. Polarization provides diagnostics of the multidimensional solar wind, enabling Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) 3D trajectory tracking and substructure characterization, Stream Interaction Region (SIR) global structure and evolution, and the long-term evolution of different types of solar wind. We solicit abstracts that take advantage of these new capabilities of a global view and young-solar-wind, including those that leverage the long heritage of coronal polarization and multi-viewpoint analyses. We also solicit abstracts connecting global views to in-situ measurements and using inferred solar wind properties as ground truth for model validation and constraint.
