Queer scientists are often underrepresented across many Earth and Planetary scientific fields. Aligning with the AGU26 theme “Where Science Connects”, this session from AGQ– the queer affinity group of AGU– seeks to highlight how diverse identities shape research questions and science communication. The goal of this session is to provide an inclusive space where queer and allied scientists highlight their science across the AGU sections, noting how their perspectives influence how they navigate the scientific process. Themes can include, but are not limited to, research from all disciplines, projects focused on underrepresented communities, or commentaries about the intersection of identity and science communication. Submissions on research from all disciplines may focus on the scientific research, and, if applicable, may also include discussion on how identity has influenced the research process.
