Better Together: The Power Of International Collaborations In Geomorphology

Landscapes encompass diverse environments that are not bound by political borders. Consequently, geomorphology research often involves international field sites and research teams. What can be accomplished with an international team that cannot be done without such collaboration? Multinational collaboration supports using multiple approaches, elevates local and indigenous knowledge, and promotes global cooperation and understanding. Yet there are challenges to international collaboration. This session seeks presentations on the advantages and power of overcoming those challenges. We welcome examples of the rewards of effective collaborations, as well as discussion of pitfalls. This session arises from the partnership between AGU’s EPSP Section and the International Association of Geomorphologists (IAG).
