Small Island Climate, Environment and Regional Change
Small Island Climate, Environment and Regional Change
Session ID#: 282117
Session Description:
Many Small Islands face a unique vulnerability to changing climate due to their geography and location within the tropical belt. The study of changes to the climatology, hydrology, hazards, and extremes impacting Small Islands is necessary for improved understanding of the physical processes associated with climate change. Additionally, research on the effects of climate changes on Small Islands is critical for better weather and climate resilience. Therefore, this session invites participants with a focus on climate and environmental change for Small Island States in the Maritime Continent, the tropical Pacific, and the tropical Atlantic and Caribbean basins.
