Preparing the current and future workforce to address climate change is essential, yet often overlooked, for implementing climate solutions at scale. Achieving a low-carbon, resilient economy depends on education and training systems that intentionally build and connect climate-related career pathways—from early career awareness through postsecondary programs, credentials, and ongoing professional learning. This session examines how education and workforce programs can align to climate needs by addressing key questions: What skills and competencies are needed to design, deploy, and sustain climate solutions? How can existing occupations evolve to meet climate goals? What pathways, credentials, and experiences best prepare learners for emerging sectors and careers? And how can these pathways expand access to high-quality opportunities across communities?

We invite contributions spanning the full continuum, from middle school career exploration to reskilling the current workforce, that highlight research, practices, program design, and partnerships that connect education systems to workforce development and climate implementation.
