Access to clean, reliable, and affordable water is a fundamental human right, yet marginalized, under-resourced, and underrepresented communities often face inadequate water services due to racialized urban planning, institutional failures, environmental degradation, and climate change. Addressing these inequities requires interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation across science, engineering, policy, and social systems. This Water and Society session invites presentations that advance equity and justice in water research. Topics include community-driven water informatics, equitable and resilient infrastructure design, inclusive decision-making frameworks, innovative governance models, and water workforce development. We encourage research that uses community-engaged, participatory approaches and centers lived experiences in the pursuit of water equity. Contributions that demonstrate co-production of knowledge, integration of advanced data analytics, or translational research that bridges academic inquiry with real-world solutions are especially welcome. Through these conversations, we aim to foster a more inclusive, just, and sustainable water future for all communities, particularly those historically left behind.
