Landscape evolution and interactions among tectonic, climatic, and geodynamic processes

Session Description:
Records of erosion, uplift, subsidence, and landscape evolution encoded within landscapes and seascapes hold important clues into past and present tectonic, climatic, lithologic, and geodynamic processes. However, because these processes are interconnected, it is challenging to disentangle their independent influences on landscape evolution. To explore these challenges involving interactions and feedback among Earth's surface and the solid Earth, this session welcomes studies that employ multi- and cross-disciplinary approaches, including, but not limited to, field and remote sensing observations, geo- and thermo-chronological techniques, numerical and analog modeling, and other geomorphological methods. We strongly encourage contributions that provide insights into the mechanisms, rates, timing, and magnitudes of landscape changes linked to surface and solid Earth processes, as well as associated hazards, across all temporal and spatial scales.
