ED014
Climate Literacy Effort Showcase

Session ID#: 78569

Session Description:
Few issues facing our society are more urgent than reducing vulnerability to climate impacts and preparing for transitions to a low-carbon economy. Yet communities are often not focused on these causes. Through the activation of extensive education systems, we have the opportunity to enhance the adaptability of our cities and create stronger communities.

Educating peoples about Earth's globally connected climate and energy system is fundamental to support the development of mitigation and adaptation strategies. The interdisciplinary nature of climate science challenges educators to identify research-based resources and information to teach about the climate system.

The CLEAN Network is a professionally diverse community of over 680 members committed to improving climate and energy literacy locally, regionally, nationally, and globally. This poster session and poster walk provides opportunities for CLEAN network partners and other climate education programs, projects, and efforts to showcase their work and share information, models, and new program designs.
