Advances in Green Infrastructure Research, Development, and Community Adoption
Session ID#: 80660
Session Description:
Green infrastructure (GI) is a sustainable solution to mitigate negative environmental impacts from urban residential, commercial, and industrial developments. GI has been applied as a solution to manage stormwater for flood prevention while facilitating ecosystem recovery, to maximize the benefits of rainwater for reviving green spaces, reducing irrigation water consumption, and to preserve and utilize effluent water for irrigation and recreation. This session aims to explore the recent advances in GI research, development, monitoring, and community adoption and case studies related to GI throughout the United States and internationally.
