Abstract:
Our shared socio-cultural practices associated with ethnic heritage is an important determinant of health and ecosystem functions. A creative placemaking accompanying lifelong immersive experiential learning is suggested as a solution as it has the capacity to shape a new ecosystem of shared socio-cultural practices. These practices will allow for understanding how power, access, and resources can be utilized in the service of global community equitably. Creative placemaking, also has ‘dark matter’ which is invisible and holds social species Homo sapiens. together—like history, memory, and relationships. It is impossible to measure and is often overlooked in development initiatives. However, without this dark matter, a community cannot function. Education often engages interconnections between ethnic group membership and other socio-economic (such as socio-economic position, access to housing, living arrangements, job). These are especially vital for discussion in ecological and science fields as the ecological attitudes and the interconnections collectively act as determinants of planetary health. The predicted demographic trend within OECD and the middle/low-income countries indicate an inflection point by 2045 that may affect planetary boundaries. The transformation to online learning in education sector presents a unique opportunity for correcting the decontextualize status given to emotive feelings, compassion, and empathy or otherwise our innate nature in formal education. The global shift in education will result in learning locally. A highly engaged student body working locally on similar problems stands to offer a community development process that is global. Virtual services will morph experiential and immersive learning to be incorporated resulting in the digital transformation of education as community education. Teaching as a practice effectively allows three or more countries to concurrently participate and yield data for research and in-situ contextual queries which creates living learning syllabus and curriculum. All individuals to access reskilling yielding innovations. The reskilling to ensuring all stakeholders can benefit if they seize new opportunities for collaboration and yield a transdisciplinary learning.
