Meet an Early Career Artist+Geoscientist

Abstract:
Future solutions to complex and pressing environmental issues and discoveries of new geophysical phenomena will come from merging knowledge across a diverse range of disciplines from the physical sciences to the social sciences and beyond. This “convergence research” embraces diversity to foster innovations that better society. The goal of this event is to highlight early career geoscientists from diverse disciplines who conduct individualized convergence research using various art media (i.e., fine arts, written arts, performance arts). These artists+geoscientists are motivated to express themselves through their art for various reasons: to improve science communication, to explore abstract concepts, and much more. We will feature early career geoscientists, who will share their work, process, story, and future interests.
