Abstract:
The Calpine Power Plant in northern California is one of the largest geothermal renewable resource facilities in the United States. With 13 facilities operating within an area of 45 square miles along the border of Sonoma County and Lake County, the Geysers facilities generate enough renewable energy to power a city the size of San Francisco. The renewable energy field is growing rapidly. There is a plethora of jobs involved with the generation, maintenance, and sale of these geothermal energy resources. This presentation examines the careers associated with the design, construction and operation of the Calpine Geysers facilities.
