Extreme Events: Observations and Modeling

Session ID#: 121195

Session Description:
This session invites abstracts on observational and numerical modeling studies to enhance the understanding of the spatiotemporal characteristics and predictability of the extreme events such as flash floods, droughts, heat waves, tropical cyclones etc. In particular, abstracts are encouraged on regional analysis of the extreme events in past years and in near or far future (30-100 years), which would assist the policy makers to build potentially more resilient societies to face the extreme event related disasters. This session also welcomes the submissions on model simulations and evaluations to advance the understanding of the physics and dynamics associated with the extreme events.
Index Terms:

1821 Floods [HYDROLOGY]
