Analysis-ready data and analysis- in-place services for weather and climate hazards research and applications in Earth Science
Session ID#: 122047
Session Description:
This session seeks presentations from existing or ongoing trans-disciplinary research, application, and practices. Analysis-ready data or analysis-in-place services that can support decision-making during weather- and climate-related disasters are of particular interest. We aim to identify and promote cooperative practices using remotely sensed data to advance science, perform placed-based vulnerability assessment, define community priorities (e.g., reducing vulnerability to extreme events), promote equity, and preserve ecosystems. Additionally, we are interested in hearing about needs around timeliness, revisit, data access, and analysis tools. Speakers from academia, government, private sector and other community stakeholders are invited to present their ongoing activities on preparing and using data to advance science and decision making along with discussion of common challenges and solutions in trans-disciplinary data services.
