2023 and 2024 Solar Eclipses: Prepare to Engage Your Communities
Session ID#: 159764
Session Description:
On April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will be visible in Mexico, the United States and Canada. Six months before that, an annular solar eclipse will race across the United States from Oregon to Texas before crossing the Central America and South America. What science may benefit from these exciting opportunities? How will subject matter experts prepare to engage and educate many? This session invites instrument scientists, citizen scientists, eclipse chasers, and educators to share their experiences and plans.
