Applying GIS to Analyze and Communicate Ocean Conditions

Session ID#: 247829

Session Description:
Geographic Information System (GIS) technology offers an extensive range of capabilities to integrate, analyze, and contextualize data from various sectors, thereby providing valuable insights into oceanic conditions, patterns, and trends. This session will concentrate on two key areas: 1) employing both local and cloud-based tools for performing analyses; 2) disseminating these analyses through Python-based notebooks or web applications, allowing for interactive engagement with the results.
Co-Sponsor(s):
  • Climate and Ocean Change -
  • Physical Oceanography: Mesoscale and Larger -
