16 Large-Scale Membrane Applications (User and Manufacturer Interactions)

Tuesday, June 12, 2018: 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Magnolia (Hilton Lexington)

Description:
Membrane technology provides the process industries with novel methods of separation for purification, effluent control or recovery of valuable products. As such, membrane technology will increasingly be part of the slate of potential solutions to the grand societal challenges of energy, water, food, health, and climate change, i.e. sustainability. Those solutions require efficient separations on a large-scale, which in turn require sound engineering and manufacturing practices in addition to ingenious science. More than ever before, effective collaboration among academic researchers, manufacturers, technology end-users and policy makers is required to successfully deploy products to the market place.
