Carbon steel, aluminium alloy and nickel alloy were blasted by white alumina, and removabillity of residual grit was investigated. Blasting parameter such as pressure, time, grit particle size and blasting angle were changed. Residual grit was extracted from substrate surface by dissolving into acid solution, and amount of residual grit was measured. Removal of residual grit were carried out by ultrasonic vibration, heat expansion method and using solid lubricant as residual grit reduction reagent. In case of carbon steel substrate, amount of residual grit was 8-9 g/m2, and sticking depth was about 0.2 mm. For residual grit reduction, blasting time was the most effective parameter rather than grit particle size and blasting pressure.
