CALL FOR PARTICIPATION

The sessions listed below have been accepted by the Annual Conference Committee for the CAA 114^th Annual Conference, Chicago, February 18–21, 2026 and are seeking presenters.

Search the session abstracts below and submit your presentation abstract directly to session chairs before August 29.

This page presents only a portion of accepted sessions and content for the 2026 conference. It does not include Complete Sessions or Composed Sessions. The full conference schedule will be posted in early October 2025.

Each session abstract is tagged to show whether it will be convened in-person or remotely during the conference dates. Detailed scheduling information will be distributed to session chairs in August.

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR PRESENTATION ABSTRACT

Sessions are listed alphabetically by title. To search using any keyword or name, type [Control] + F (Windows) or [Command] + F (Mac) on your keyboard.

Before submitting:

1. Make a CAA account. Current membership is not required at this step, but you must create an account at this link. Skip the payment/joining step for now.
2. Prepare your Presentation title and Abstract (250 word limit)
3. Have a shortened CV ready (~ 2 pages).
4. (Optional) Select up to five images to include that support your presentation.
5. Submissions due to session chairs by August 29, 2025
1. Chairs will notify submitters directly of their decision by September 16.

CONFERENCE PARTICIPATION RULES

• Upon being accepted to a session, presenters must join CAA and/or keep their memberships current through the conference dates (you may apply before joining by creating an account here).
• All session participants must register for the Conference. Registration opens early October 2025.
• Your session, presentation, and/or paper content must not have been published previously or presented at another scholarly conference.
• You may submit to multiple sessions but can only deliver one presentation during the conference. If you receive multiple acceptances, you must withdraw all but one by notifying the corresponding session chairs.
• If you had an individual paper/presentation accepted during CAA's spring submission call, you may still apply to a session listed in this Call for Participation. However, if accepted to multiple sessions, you must withdraw all but one accepted presentation per conference.

• CAA Professional Committee and CAA Affiliated Society sessions will list the name with their abstract.
• The information on this page is listed as it was submitted or as entered in a chair's CAA member account
• Each session abstract is tagged to show whether it will be convened in-person or remotely during the conference dates.
• Detailed scheduling information will be distributed to session chairs in August.

Key Dates:

• August 29: Deadline to submit proposals to sessions using the "Submit an Abstract to this Session" button listed with each session below.
• September 16: Deadline for session chairs to finalize sessions and inform submitters of their decisions via email. Accepted submitters will receive an email from CAA with the link to their own SC after September 25.
• Early October: Conference registration opens; full conference schedule is posted.
