The Rice Diversity Project, involving collaboration between Cornell, USDA, IRRI and many other partners, has produced high-density genotypic data for over 1500 purified rice lines.  The genotypic data was generated using a 700K Affymetrix chip designed by Cornell.  From the purified rice lines, panels for different variety groups including indica, tropical japonica, and aus types were selected.  These panels are being phenotyped for a wide range of traits including yield components, leaf morphology, grain quality, blast, and others under the Global Rice Science Partnership (GRiSP) phenotyping network. Genome-wide association tests for some of these traits will be presented. On publication of the high-density rice array, the genotype data will be available from the International Rice Informatics Consortium database portal.
