During the last decade, technological improvements led to the development of large sets of genomic resources permitting the emergence of high-resolution comparative genomic studies in both plant and animal lineages. Comparing plant and animal genomes deliver new insights into mechanisms driving structural, functional and evolutionary plasticity.
This Plant and Animal Genome Paleogenomics [PAGP] workshop will focus on recent data regarding differences and/or similarities in structural [gene, TEs, synteny, duplications], functional [comparative transcriptome/epigenome], and EVOLUTIONARY [Comparative/paleogenomics from modern/fossil sequence data] plasticities [genome partitioning, transpositions, deletions, CNV, PAV, CNS….] in plant and animal genomes.
