NGS-Enabled BAC-By-BAC Sequencing Of Complex Genomes

Advances in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies have revolutionized genome sequencing.  Although the efficiencies associated with NGS-enabled Whole Genome Shotgun (WGS) approaches have made it possible to generate genome sequences for not only major, but also minor crops, BAC-by-BAC approaches still provide the highest quality genome sequences. Data2Bio’s proprietary technology (SODI) that couples the efficiency of NGS with the quality of BAC-by-BAC genome sequencing will be described.
