Here we present the deep-resequenced data of 32 accessions of the rice landraces and 2 accessions of the wild rice species, Oryza rufipogon, sampled from diverse geographic areas. In average, genomes of these accessions were sequenced with 60X coverage, and uniquely mapped reads covered 86.5% and 95.5% of the reference genome and genes, respectively. Out of the 373.2Mbp of the reference genome sequence, 239.9Mbp (64.3%) were covered by at least one uniquely mapped read of each of the 34 accessions. In the 239.9Mbp sequences, we detected 5,682,436 SNPs and 1,004,227 indels. These data enable plant researchers to facilitate the detailed sequence comparison of the geographically diverse rice landraces. In addition, since 18 of the 34 accessions were used as donors to construct the chromosomal segment substitution lines (CSSLs) developed by the National Institute of Agrobiological Sciences, Japan, our data will accelerate the screening of causal mutations associating with phenotypes identified by the genetic analyses using the CSSLs. This work was supported by a grant from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan (QTL5003).
