Genotyping arrays are now becoming an important tool in plant genotyping for diversity analyses, genetic mapping and plant breeding. TraitGenetics has been involved in the development, characterization and optimization of a number of genotyping arrays for important crop plants. We provide an overview on arrays that are available at TraitGenetics for services with respect to the number of functional markers, the quality of the functional markers and the scoring of the markers. Information will be provided on arrays for the diploid species maize (50K array), tomato (10K SOLCAP array), barley (9K array), sunflower (30K array) Brassica oleracea and Brassica rapa (60K array). Recently we have also been involved in the array development of allotetraploid oilseed rape (Brassica napus) array (60K) and allohexaploid wheat (90K). Finally, we provide some information on future developments in the area of optimized arrays for plant breeding.
