Integrated analysis of different omic experiments can provide valuable information that is often missed in individual experiments. Agilent’s GeneSpring software facilitates the integration of multi-omic data and allows overlay of results on curated pathways (WikiPathways/BioCyc/KEGG) or literature-derived networks. GeneSpring’s ability to create custom pathway relation database enables pathway & network analysis of ANY organism. GeneSpring addresses the genome annotation issue using BridgeDB (an ID mapping framework) that translates identifiers from multiple annotation databases resulting in better annotation coverage for downstream analysis. GeneSpring also supports the import of information from public sources (GEO, Ensembl, etc.) and its interactive computing environment promotes investigation and understanding of Genomics, Metabolomics and Proteomics data within a biological context.
