This part of the session dives further into the accepted practice that the integration and analysis of OMIC data is a significant driver for trait improvement in plants, and is predicated on the utilization of computational prowess to drive the trait discovery and development process. In this presentation, we review Evogene’s computational infrastructure, with keyhole presentation of its ATHLETETM gene discovery platform, and PlaNet, which was developed to address the emerging understanding that effective trait improvement may require the concomitant activity of several genes.
