P0695What's New at SoyBase?
Improved Site Navigation
We have revamped the navigation menus present on each page at SoyBase to make their use more intuitive. In addition a complete site map has been developed that provides a comprehensive overview of SoyBase.
Improved Reference Genome Sequence
The second Williams 82 genome assembly was released by JGI in February 2013. This improved assembly and annotation extended and corrected the initial draft sequence.
Fast Neutron-generated Mutants
Over 200 additional mutants have been characterized by CGH (Bolen et al. 2014). The positions of the indels are presented at SoyBase in the context of the genomic sequence including gene models and expression.
SNP Haplotypes for the USDA Soybean Germplasm Collection
19,652 soybean germplasm accessions were haplotyped using the SoySNP50K Illumina Infinium BeadChip. These data are shown in the SoyBase Genome Browser. Haplotypes for all or a user-chosen subset of the germplasm can be downloaded.
SoyMap2 Diversity Browser
The SoyMap II Project is designed to analyze important parts of the genomes of seven wild relatives of soybean in order to better understand these wild relatives. The SoyMap2 Diversity Browser presents these results.
GWAS QTL
QTL identified in Genome Wide Association Studies have been added to SoyBase. These QTL are presented in the context of both the Composite Genetic Map and the Wm82 Genome Sequence.
