We have been working to develop a common API for communication between plant breeding web databases and analytical tools. This will allow integration of data, sharing tools, and communication with mobile devices. We will demonstrate several examples on The Triticeae Toolbox website using this API. The Triticeae Toolbox (T3; http://www.triticeaetoolbox.org) is the public Web database for phenotype and genotype data generated by the US Triticeae Coordinated Agricultural Project (T-CAP; http://www.triticeaecap.org). T3 is funded by the National Institute for Food and Agriculture (NIFA) of the USDA.
