Genomics researchers can use the Arabidopsis Information Portal (AIP) to increase the exposure and utility of their data. With AIP tools, researchers can transform any web-accessible data set into an AIP-based web service that is RESTful, documented, discoverable, and standards-conformant for maximum interoperability. We present a case study in which, with minimal programming, legacy data is registered at AIP and used to generate dynamic web pages. The approach can be applied generally to make results accessible to modern analysis and visualization apps.
