We used GWAS panel involving diverse lines belonging to three cultivated species of Capsicum to analyse genetic controls for variation in capsaicinoid content. Our GWAS panels consist of 94, 280 and 220 lines for Capsicum annuum, C. chinense and C. baccatum, respectively. Various genetic tools used in the analysis and results obtained in selection mapping and GWAS of SNP associations with capsaicin across the genus and individually in various species will be presented.
