Evolving Guidance for NASA Missions and Critical Infrastructure: Risk Analysis and Solutions Innovations (RASI)
Session ID#: 249422
Session Description:
The Risk Analysis and Solutions Innovations (RASI) group provides the latest scientific research to NASA facilities managers and surrounding communities to respond to increasing risks in timely and effective ways. The RASI initiative is a partnership between NASA's Earth Science Division and Office of Strategic Infrastructure (OSI) geared towards enhancing responses to extreme events and conditions at NASA facilities. NASA centers and their surrounding communities are vulnerable to hazards that increase risks to operations, infrastructure, and workforce, which require solutions tailored to specific needs. RASI empowers facility managers and state and local governments to make smart choices that benefit NASA missions. RASI is comprised of 6 workgroups each focused on a specific area of risk: Extreme Weather, Flooding Events, Wildfires and Air Quality, Water Resources, Energy Infrastructure, and Ecosystems. This session will be hosted by RASI Principal Investigator, Cynthia Rosenzweig, and will include presentations from each of the RASI workgroups.
