Research at the intersection of climate,weather and health is a rapidly growingfield. While this research enables creativemethodologies to address uniqueproblems, effectively combining datafrom disparate fields remains challenging.This session aims to explore effectivestrategies for using environmental data inhealth applications. Potential topicsinclude evaluating datasets and metricsdesigned for health-related analyses;applying and optimizing downscaling andbias correction methods; integratingenvironmental and health data acrossvarying spatial and temporal scales;operationalizing real-time data sourcessuch as weather forecasts for healthapplications; improving healthcareplanning and response throughenvironmental data insights; enhancingdisaster preparedness, response, andrecovery efforts; and broadly sharing bestpractices for leveraging environmentalinformation within the health sector. Wewarmly invite researchers andpractitioners from atmospheric science,environmental health, epidemiology,veterinary science, healthcare, disastermanagement, and other fields interestedin advancing the interdisciplinarypotential of climate/weather and healthdata integration.
