General Session: Atmospheric Dynamics & Climate

Session ID#: 158453

Session Description:
This session provides a general forum for scientists working on Atmospheric Dynamics and Climate. In addition to new, cutting-edge research, we welcome reviews as well as perspectives on emerging challenges and opportunities. Papers on all physical processes within Earth’s atmosphere and climate are encouraged, including global and regional-scale circulation, convection and its interactions with circulation, tropical and extratropical cyclones, variability from subseasonal-to-decadal time scales, and longer-term climate change. Specifically, we invite contributions on: (1) atmospheric dynamics from the mesoscale to the global scale; (2) dynamics of the coupled climate system; and (3) atmospheric dynamics at the interface of “traditional” weather and climate. We are committed to a session with diverse speakers across all career stages.
