Elliot Joseph Reichert , AICA-USA
Elliot Reichert will speak about the need for comprehensive and diverse art criticism in Chicago and the greater Midwest, not only as a necessary form of public cultural discourse and a generative form of feedback among artists, but also as a first draft of the art history that will one day be written. He first wrote about this subject in 2016 in his article "399 Days in the Art World: Who Will Write Chicago's Art History?" for Newcity Art.
