Research Funding in Art History in Brazil and the United States

This paper will take a comparative approach to the challenges of developing art historical projects in Brazil and in the United States in moments of crisis. It will discuss strategies for supporting art historical research amidst institutional precariousness and reflect on the role that associations such as the International Art History Committee (CIHA) can play in periods of crisis.
