Next generation sequencing (NGS) technology has revolutionized life sciences including molecular plant breeding. Since the introduction of NGS platforms, KeyGene had been committed to pursue Sequence-Based Breeding and developed various proprietary NGS applications for de novo whole genome sequencing, physical mapping (Whole Genome Profiling; WGPTM), genotyping (Sequence-Based Genotyping; SBG and KeyGene® SNPSelect), mutation detection (KeyPoint®) and others. To visualize and query large genome (variation) datasets, a powerful platform called <Crop>Pedia was developed, capable of integrating public and proprietary data in a single system. In this presentation, I will present recent achievements within our portfolio of NGS applications for accelerated crop improvement.
The KeyPoint®, KeyGene® SNPSelect, SBG and WGPTM technologies are protected by patents and patent applications owned by Keygene N.V. KeyPoint, KeyGene and WGP are (registered) trademarks of Keygene N.V.
