Lexogen: New Generation of RNA-Seq Sample Preparation

In the past decade we have witnessed remarkable developments in sequencing technologies. It is by far the fastest developing technology in human history and is considered as one of the technologies that will change the everyday life of people. This kind of technologies deserves new types of sample preparation methods and data analysis algorithms, but the technologies for these pre/post-sequencing processes are still at basic level, and they are not meeting the demanding requirements of next generation sequencing, generating the bottle-neck of the entire sequencing project pipelines. This workshop presents new technologies for sample prep and data analysis and their applications in RNA-Seq projects. A novel method for efficient expression profiling by next generation sequencing will be presented, and a new algorithm for RNA-Seq data analysis will be shown, and the utilization and application of NGS-grade RNA extraction will be discussed.
