Gene for gene system is one of the defense mechanisms of plants against pathogens. Resistance genes which belong to NBS-LRR containing R-gene family have important role in pathogen detection and plant defense. NBS profiling is a PCR based approach that produces many markers in resistance genes and resistance gene analogs (RGAs). Lentil has the highest source of protein after soybeans and hemp. In additional to nutritional importance, it also takes role in nitrogen fixation from the atmosphere and forming nitrogen lumps in the soil. Lentil is a diploid (2n = 2x = 14 chromosomes) and self pollinating crop with 4,063 Mbp haploid genome. Till today 101 individuals belonging to an interspesific cross of Precoz X WA8649041 are genotyped by using 24 enzyme-primer combinations. NBS markers were visualized on LICOR platform and 215 markers scored till now. Genetic mapping of  linkage groups has just started. Hundred and fourty-two out of 215  (%66) were mapped on 10 major and 15 minor linkage groups by using JoinMap4 software. The 142 markers across 386.6 cM provided an average marker density of 1 marker per 2.38 cM. Linkage group sizes were ranging from 43.6 cM to 1.0 cM with a mean length of 15.46 cM and 7 markers per linkage group. The maximum number of markers in one linkage group was 20, the minimum was just 2.With this research, we aimed to map the  NBS profiling markers in lentil genome. This will be the first linkage map constructed using NBS markers.
