4413AgriPlex Genomics – Bridging the Gap Between Singleplex Screening and High Density Arrays
PlexSeq™: a new targeted amplicon based focused sequencing method. Our workshop will focus on our PlexSeq™ system and how assays are multiplexed and applied to large number of samples simultaneously to create an ultra-high throughput, NGS based, ligation free sequencing and genotyping platform. PlexSeq™ works well with crude extraction methods, has a high assay design and conversion success rate for insertions, deletions and other difficult regions. Multiplexed SSR/STR assays can also be robustly analyzed. Various multiplexing levels and the ability to run large population studies rapidly and inexpensively will be discussed. As an example, we will present data on simultaneous analysis of 9 SNP’s in 20,000 samples on one Illumina MiSeq run. Data can be robustly analyzed using our fully automated genotype calling PlexCall™ proprietary software. The combination of PlexSeq™ and PlexCall™ enables several other applications including quantitative pathogen detection and focused RNAseq in large number of samples.
