4411New England Biolabs - New NEBNext methods to enhance your NGS performance
With its unprecedented throughput, scalability, and speed, next-generation sequencing (NGS) is expanding its applications; addressing an increasingly diverse range of biological problems. As the use of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) is becoming more widespread there is a need for faster protocols that perform reliably even with reduced input amounts. To address these challenges the new NEBNext® Ultra™ II library prep solutions have optimized every step in the workflows to enable high quality of sequencing data even from few picograms (gDNA) and low nanograms (RNA) of input material. Enzymatic fragmentation has also been included to streamline the library prep workflow and to avoid the sample lost involved in mechanical shearing.
Genome editing is enabled by the development of tools to make precise, targeted changes to the genome of living cells. Recently a new tool based on a bacterial CRISPR-associated protein-9 nuclease (Cas9) from Streptococcus pyogenes has generated considerable excitement. CRISPR-based genome editing workflows vary considerably depending on experimental design. NEB reagents support multiple workflows enabling researchers flexibility in their genome editing strategy. In this presentation we will introduce NEB’s RNA synthesis products, novel assembly methods for generation of sgRNA templates and homologous repair templates, recombinant Cas9 protein, and reagents for downstream mutation analysis.
