Advancements in Paleoceanographic Proxies: Insights from Biomineralizers
Session ID#: 159957
Session Description:
Over the past several decades, technological advancements have stimulated unparalleled growth in paleoproxy development, including elemental, isotopic, morphometric, and ecological studies of biomineralizers. This session aims to highlight current and evolving investigations and recent advancements in paleoceanographic proxy development from members of the community at various career stages. We welcome submissions from field based, laboratory culture, and fossil studies, among others, that advance the utility of paleoceanographic proxies. In bringing together diverse perspectives on the use of biomineralizers, this session works to cultivate a generative space focused on improving our ability to reconstruct climate change dynamics at variable spatial and temporal scales.
